Dear Parents and Students:

Welcome to 2008/2009!

Santa Cruz Dance Company is excited and honored to welcome both new and continuing students to the 2008-2009 session!

At Santa Cruz Dance Company we are known for our positive, up-beat attitude, our supportive staff and parent community and our passion for the stage!

PERFORMANCES
All students will have the opportunity to perform with the entire studio in our two yearly shows (Christmas and June showcases) and the Aptos 4th of July parade!

STAYING INFORMED
Your child’s participation at Santa Cruz Dance Company will be greatly enhanced by your interest and involvement in our program. Parents are strongly encouraged to check the front desk and front door signs weekly for updates, announcements, recent flyers, etc. We will also send out up-dates via email and post certain information on our website at www.santacruzdancecompany.com.  Be sure to provide an e-mail address that you check regularly, or mark your registration form N/A so we know that you will not be receiving our up-dates.

WHAT YOUR CHILD WILL NEED
Dress code at Santa Cruz Dance Company is comfortable and casual. Shorts, leggings or sweatpants with a loose or fitted top are suggested. A clean pair of cross-trainers or “tennis” shoes with a non-scuffing sole designated exclusively for dance are required. Please see Jazz teachers for shoe recommendations at first class. Students with shoes worn on the street will not be permitted to dance. Parents, please provide your child with a dance bag to carry in shoes etc. and to carry out extra layers taken off while dancing. Each year our lost-and-found overflows with forgotten clothing, shoes and jewelry.
